my ch***is will be done monday. i want to have it ready for paint shortley there after. So i need to figure out what color will work good here. so please share your input and help me out. here are the guidlines to work around. Body: British racing green. Wheels: tore between dove grey, or kind of a manela (sp) Frame: help me! Engine: help again! Dash: i dunno? Interior: white, all pleats few have said screw it... its a custom paint the frame and engine black. but ive never had a fancy frame so i figure now is a good time to try one. so why not my thoughts are make the dash match the wheels. the engine match the frame. so i was thinking a gold for the frame and engine? car in question is: with this engine:
Here... Body: British racing green. Wheels: Black Frame: Light metallic green Engine: Charcoal 'wheel paint' with black brackets, pulleys, etc Engine compartment: White Dash: Body color (British green) Interior: white, all pleats Simple, cool and cl***y ya know!!
Not that my opinion counts for much but I'm thinking whatever color you go with the wheels is good that is if you have painted wheels. otherwise dove gray is a good choice. Personally I always liked a gloss black ch***is with pin stripes on a custom. But like I said . . .
Black is right up there. but i thought i would see if any one came up with something that just had to happen. i really want single bar flippers on my wheels but i cant find 16" ones
My light colored frame is a pain to keep clean, I am doing black on the 54. I think that thing will look good in green.........what made you pick that color?
i agree with hack about the dash matching the body. what about dove grey wheels, frame, and engine (block) with black pulleys, etc. ? that would offer lots of contrast. ...i dunno, maybe you'd better run this by your OLD LADY and see if she's down with that combination.
***ty pink, with two dogs makin it next to a big cactus under a big bay moon airbrushed on the trunk, OR british racing green.
ive been on this green kick and i though forest green would look nice and in my quest to find a cool darker green my painter buddy suggested british racing green. tred, Alex hates the green idea. she says im doing the car to boring. but i want that 40's feel to it and a crazy bright color would not get it done. i thought about the grey frame and engine but what a pain in the *** that would be to try to keep clean. and it is a 250 six so there is no stopping oil leaks no matter what color i paint the frame the suspension bits will be black. like the axle and **** like that. Thanks for the ideas guys....
Who cares what color it is as long as there's a gladiator riding a polar bear airbrushed on the continental kit.
With British Racing Green, I'd go with a tan frame, tan steel wheels with 2 thin green pin stripes around the edge. Gun metal grey engine.
BR Green, Taupe wheels with plain baby moon caps (I'd like to see blackwalls, but this is a taildragger and most would run WWW). Look at the first versions of the Audi TT interiors for ideas, like the whip stiching.
BRG - Body, dash and garnish mouldings Black - Frame and all ch***is components. Manila - Wheels and interior accents (like welting on the seats and some striping) Engine - Manila with black brackets and such.
Body: British racing green. Wheels: High Gloss black Frame: Black Engine: Charcoal Grey Dash: Leather Tan color? Interior: Tan british sports car leather(whatever color that is) Or,if you change the body color you might have better options..
Cool, I guess I should have added that my curiosity is from the fact that my(Zekes) 54 has always been some sort of green in its life. Dad and I are now talking about a propor paintjob in andother green. I lean towards oliveish colors and he has one of those broghter 50s metallics in mind............cool man, thanks.
Body: British racing green. Wheels: Cream with single BRG or Gold pinstripe Frame: BRG with pinstripes Engine: Cream with black brackets, pulleys, etc Engine compartment: BRG with extensive pinstriping (maybe cream and gold) Dash: BRG Interior: white, all pleats
Body: British racing green (maybe a very little bit of perl or a light bit of metallic to make the color pop in the sun) . Wheels: Cream with single BRG pinstripe Frame: BRG or Black Engine: Cream with black brackets, pulleys, with some chrome. Engine compartment: BRG with a tasteful amount of pinstriping in cream Dash: BRG Interior: A nice camel color maybe a lighter shade or two lighter camel to acent it.
why didnt you tell me you did a photoshop! that looks bad ***. i have great taste i like your wheel color
sounds like you cant shake that dam green outa your system!!!!!! btw ,, how far have you channelled the body ,over the ch***is?????? how much ch***is will you see???????
i painted the engine gold... then i ****ed the car all up... its channeld about 2" you wont see any frame cause the running boards. its not going to be green any more. i changed directions with the build.... beware...
