Does anyone have a good source for vintage or vintage-style interior upholstery? Vinyl is easy, I'm looking for the fabric with metallic threads.

    Thanks!

Try the places that restore old stratocasters and juke boxes. They are reproducing all that stuff now. Check the threads relating to McFail's tri five.

Possibilities (?): Check with local shop and get name of automotive upholstery wholesalers (one along freeway in Oakland). King Kovers in Oakland may help you out. AAA Products Inc in Walnut Creek may have supplies.

I wish. Just getting my car there and back would cost me a couple grand.

Oops, Sorry-thought that you lived in the East Bay near Oakland.
Wherever you are there should be a wholesaler of upholstery that supplies the shops that may be able to help you out. Have fun!!

There is a co. called SASCO that has NOS Studebaker stuff. I bought some new material this summer from them Cheap. Mine is blue/green with metalic threads. The place is not very organized, I dug through mounds of new seat covers and rolls and rolls of new fabric. Good luck. Brian

Those look like speaker grill cloths for vintage Hi-fi, especialy based on the colors (intended to match with wood tones of vintage radio cabinets and speaker enclosures).

You might contact CARS, Inc., the company that does Chevy resto parts. They have pearl white vinyl that was a factory color for late-'60s or early-'70s Chevelles, and some of the early-'60s Impala fabrics that have the period-correct, silver-flecked look you're going for.
