Best regards, Markson Fred [/ QUOTE ] so i'm guessing that this is some hoax, but have never heard of it. anyone else out there seen it before? grammer, lack of identification, the fact that it's an e-mail and not a registered letter, spelling, etc., all add up to a scam, but i haven't figured out yet what it is or how they can snag you with this. is it a way to get a foot in your door for further scams? if you respond to this will they be asking you to put this money and some of your own in an account or something (which, of course, will disappear without a trace)? btw; i never even opened it; i copied it using the preview feature of outlook. i'll probabaly delete it without ever opening it.

Classic Pigeon Drop scam....better be carful opening these kinds of emails....might have a virus attached.
I get those about three times a month from some "bank manager" of a bank in Africa of course. Lately I've been getting "Unable to deliver" emails that look real close to my server's real messages of that nature that have some Email addy I have no record of and never sent, not myself anyway. Is/can someone else be cloning my Email addy and sending spam/viruses with it? Do I have a virus doing this? I have a Mac so I can't even open an .exe if I want'ed to so that's ruled out.
DRJ Macs are not real prone to viruses. Doesn't mean that you don't have one. Most are written for PCs running MS software for whatever reason. I get phoney stuff saying that I had undeliverable mail all the time. I never open the attachment. I did send one back to Ma Bell with tha attachment attached and they sent me an ugly gram and asked that I never send the virus to them along with the suspiciuos email. Nuff said? I'm on my way out the door but I do have the FBI email addy where they are collecting the we found money scam emails. When I get home I'll post it. The PknBner

I am very over come with grief at this moment. Please advise me where to pick up my inheritance.
You guys are all rubes. While you're here doubting the validity of the above message, I'm sipping on a Mai Tai in Barbados. I struck while the iron was hot and pocketed a cool $6 million, and then I cut town for a while. Don't think that every wierd email that falls in your in-box is a hoax.

[/ QUOTE ] Most likely it's someone that has your email in their address book got infected and the virus/spam is mailing itself using your address as a return address. Nothing to really worry about. Just keep from opening the attatchments. If your using OSX then there is only one real virus to worry about and it's not spreading very quickly at all.
Monkeyman! It's amazing how far this scam has reached... these guys scour the net looking for ANY working email, and try and get folks. What's funny is they don't even change the story line at all...
This should be a givaway... [ QUOTE ] Unfortunately the deaced died along with his wife in the accident which became aparent for me to search for the kin to Mr. Fritz [/ QUOTE ] Kin? I mean REALLY kin!?! What lawyer says that let alone writes it down!!!! Sheesh... kin They must be looking for total fucking idiots... ..glad they didn't find one.

[/ QUOTE ] those are just spoofed emails. usually the attatchment , where your original message would reside, now contains a virus. When you try to open it to figure out what the fuck you sent to hello@beer.com while you were drunk, you get the virus.
I get the Nigerian one often. One day when bored, I sent him (her?) a reply with all kinds of phoney information. He (she?) actually replied and said that my credit card was no good. Don't worry, my system "hides" behind TWO different firewalls. Plus the email addy was no longer in service, my service bureau forwarded it to me.
