Very nice. Love the long wheelbase.

  12. glad you guys dig it. im very happy with the recent changes myself. and so is my 2 year old in case you couldnt tell.

the steering box is a 36 ford' i had to modify the one mounting ear to clear the engine but otherwise was a nice fit. i wanted to use an f1 but i just couldnt squeeze it .

Do you have any pics of what you did on your roof? On my '26 I just used some ply wood. My car looks like ass, so it didn't really matter at the time, but I am wanting to do something a little cleaner and lighter.

  18. nothing yet.. my roof is open. I'm going to go the original route by replacing the wood and then covering using chicken wire, batting and material.. Macs has a wood replacement kit for like 250.. I'll probably use a marine grade medium grain white vinyl or perhaps whie canvas.

That and the decklid are my fall projects...

  22. Nice T! I love the open, uncut top. Unless it's a structural issue I'd have to leave it like it is. That picture of your little man is priceless too. He'll never forget riding around with you in that car. Looks like you may need a seatbelt on your front axle ;)

  23. NJ weahter sucks so i'm going to have to close it in to get full use out of it this fall. It sucks having to worry about whether or not its going to drizzle...

My 2 year old (ben) loves the thing. he calls it "car-car" which i think is his pronunciation of hotrod. I was originally pretty against letting him ride but felt alot better about it after all the body reinforcements I put in, still we only cruise a few blocks each way in-town (the whole town has a 25mph speed limit).

The funny thing is the first time i took him out he started yelling at me so out of fear that the noise was bothering him or he was getting scared i killed the motor and pulled over. Then i realized he was saying "daddy, go fast, i wanna go fast".

Hey daddyO, dig dat crazy coop!!!I have almost a clone of your sweet jalopy over here in good old blighty (England). OK-OK its a glass replica but tin rots so bad on this lil' Island so any we might have had here rotted out 60 years ago. Was thinking about chopping but now will leave stock height (I just need to drop my tail a few inches and they'll look like brother and sister. Have ash wood roof panel on mine (it drizzles with rain most the time here so open is a no-no. I was inspired by Mercury Charlie down there in Texas but my coop looks closer to yours seppin I run Chrome revs.We have this 'town twinning' thing here... Welcome to Staines - twinned with some fancy soundln' Vous sans del a pom frites' kinda thing. maybe youz and meez can start the same thing only twinning 'T's instead of towns

My ol' lizzie is still in the build stage altho' did make it into Dice mag as a mock-up.

Sweet in-spur-ation my man, sweet in-spur-ation

  30. Love your coupe man.My first car was a 27 t coupe. Back then the resto-rod was the scene up here. I had a 283, powerglide combo on a 9" ford. Mustang buckets and a coat hanger to shift the tranny through the floor made out of wood.I was 19 then and have since owned 4 t-coupes.I have a new son 8 months old and will be looking for something for him down the road.If you send me a note I will send you some shots from a way back. I can share your excitement I rember mine ...the first hot-rod I ever drove...Great post
