Glad to hear the surgery went well, Dave, and best wishes to Ginger for her recovery.
Hey, just a thought....if she's having problems getting about, does that mean that you'll have to go with her to her favourite concerts?!!!!

Another thought....do they let you keep the old knee? It'd certainly be a conversation piece....

  6. Nice one mate, keep us posted.Bet you.ll be chuffed to see her back home.

  7. Thanks for that....to answer the questions....No....and HELL NO!!!!! ;)

  8. SAT PM UPDATE

    Hi All....
Ginger had a comfortable night (Its the drugs I tell you) and I got there this morning, she was quite pain free & talking normally.

She had been on her feet 1st thing this morning & took several steps. They also have a leg support machine that bends & flexes the leg to keep it mobile.

She started to experience severe pain round 1pm, and they took her OFF the Morphine she was on & replaced it with a kind of Morphine Extra Strength!! That worked fine, she relaxed and was pain free again.

They wanted to do an Ultrasound to check on the joint & that took place later this afternoon, all looks VERY good.

Gingers parents are there now, I've come home & am gonna get some sleep!!

Thanks for all the good wishes & offers of help, it is much appreciated.

  9. Sunday Update…..(Typed in the hospital room, as I had the laptop with me)
So, Ginger had a very restful night last night (apart from being woken up every 2 hours to have her vital signs checked.
Her “Morphine Extra Strength” IV was removed early this morning, and she’s just on regular oral painkillers (extra strength) which are working well.
She’s been walking back & forth to the bathroom, with her walking frame, and also has eaten a little more today than yesterday.

    Ginger says………
“Thank you everyone for the calls, prayers & happy thoughts”
It looks like she may not be coming out Monday now, but should be out on Tuesday instead, they will know more tomorrow, they wanted to ensure the slight fever she was running was totally under control. Watch this space for info soon as I get it.
