How many hambers go to the Woodward Dream Cruise?

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by double nickel, Aug 16, 2007.

  1. I know, I know and I have mixed feelings but my dad and I have gone since the first one. You have to sift through a lot of commercial ******** but there is some cool stuff to see. Any other hambers go? And if so, where do you hang out?

I went the first three years and it was good then, but after that it is a big parking lot with bumper to bumper traffic and to commercial for me. I go during the week where you can actually cruise and see a lot of action but avoid the actual Saturday BS.

I'll be in pontiac at the parking lot. yeah yeah it isn't cool to go to woodward, too commerical and all. Somehow I still keep having a good time when I go....

  7. I'm halfway between Coolidge and Woodward on Normandy, so I'm trapped anyway! The circus is coming to town, and it's burnouts and exhaust fumes for the next week!

The Shell station is walking distance from my house, so stop on by if y'all want.

I agree, it has become way too crazy the last few years, but it's great to see all the cars and craziness that comes with it!

I'll probably do a little cruisin' but all the WDC does for me is get me and the car overheated. Sitting bumper to bumper and chewing on fumes can be accomplished in my very own driveway.

I'll probably make the loop a little early and end up down in Ferndale as I have some framed prints for sale at The Luxury Collection (formerly N2Skin Tattoo) Stop in a take a look. Lots of **** for sale. It's at 2751 Woodward Avenue, Ferndale, MI 48220 just south of 9 Mile, SB side.

I will be down there, I went last week to pre cruise, saw a cl***y 55 chevy out there made my day.

I lined up some work down there (i tint windows) so I got my gas paid for too! now on to my electric fan, I'm done without that in traffic.

This will be my third year. I don't know how good it used to be, so I am happy with what it is now. I usually take all day to make one loop, stopping along the way and taking all my cameras full of pictures. I will be the guy in the bright orange late model Mustang convertible. Oh if you see me you will know it.

Just got back from Woodward and it was the most crowded Friday I have ever seen there. Woodward has its good and bad points but overall I think its worth going Thursday or Friday and getting some cruising in. You see cars there that you just won't see other places.
We will be a BTTB (that's Back To The Bricks for you non-GMBs) tomorrow. Flint has done a great job promoting it and bringing some fun to a pretty tough and sometimes dangerous town. They start it at 10:00 so all the gunfire has pretty much died down by then:eek: :D

  13. I'm gonna be cleaning out the garage and getting it ready for my next (not HAMB related) project, but my parents and youngest son will be there in a WCSX car... so if you see em tell em I said "Hey." :)

Went down friday afternoon for about 6 hours... man what a dog and pony show!!! Saw some great stuff but just to many moroons riding around in their daily beaters clogging up traffic, while shooting film. Some day if keeps getting bigger they will have to shut it down ( yea a dream cruise<G>) and just let us ride.

Oh yea stopped at Potbelly for a wreck ( sandwich) took it out front along the curb to eat and watch for a while , walked the half block down to Duggons for a couple of T shirts for my sister in Florida came back and had a fu--ing ticket for parking in front of Potbellys...... $30 bucks ... no way---- I'll be crusing back up next week to fight them on it.............. commerical ... hell yea for the city! What a bunch of Bull S--t, welcome to cruzin wouldwierd.
