As you are heading west towards L.A. on I-10, when you get to Deming,Nm., make a right towards Silver City,Nm. for the Copper Country Rod Run on Saturday the 18th. Silver is about 55 miles north of Deming. I'll be there, it is always a good time.

If the car is an old cool one, detour up I-25 and take the US 70 exit and go to White Sands. It's about 40 miles out of your way but getting photos of the car in the white sand dunes with clear blue sky in the backgound is worth it.

You can also always go to Mexico, which can be fun. Cheap beer and good food.

Tombstone is great! and if you go to Tombstone, in arizona, head about 10 miles south of there to the Town Of Bisbee which is another old west town, and there you can take a tour of an old mine from way back when.

Lost Wages, Nevada If you feel lucky. I just went this weekend. Hot as Hell......Oh I checked out the car collection @ the Imperial Palace BTW & there isn't much to see.. just a buch of stuffy old Rolls Royce Pebble Beach type Cars, I did however see John D'Augustine's Custom Cadillac the Elmerado.....*****in'! also the neon-sign graveyard? and I think Bonnie & Clyde's car in in Prim just west of Vegas. O.K. Drive Safe my friends. Trout

Cadillac ranch is up north, not on the way. But look for ducks in deming. They're fast as ****.

thanks for the heads up guys. i did visit THE THING? it was pretty cheesy, i wanted a shirt but the shirt was terrible so i bought a beer mug instead. my buddy got a speeding ticket right out of texas into new mexico, and then 2 hours later in arizona we got another speeding ticket but that one is definitly going to get fought. he was heading east as we were heading west we saw him and were the lead car but had 2 other cars behind us who were p***ing us up. he flipped a b*tch and ended up pulling us over cause as he said we where the lead car. i asked him if we can see the radar cause in california we are allowed to. he then begins to tell us, well you were the lead car and you were speeding, and besides i didn't lock onto you and the reading is no longer on the gun anyways so we were **** out of luck so it will be getting fought. lots of amazing scenery and had a good trip either way. wish i could have wandered around more but my buddy had to be back for work earlier than expected. but we may have to do fly into dallas in a few weeks so we may doing the roadtrip all over again with more texas scenery:D
