I agree, 90% of us would have taking the oportunity to host a show like Monster Garage or Headskratcher.
Alot of jelousy comes with it, and as soon as you make money, you become an asshole in the public eye.

No but really!. I'm just messing wth you guys. Including Ryan. You can all spew as much "internet toughguy" stuff as you want twards me. I can take it, and I know there is very few that would "own it" to my face. As far as STONER and Garage Mag? he busts his ass to do a great job with that magazine. If I have to throw some WCC stuff in there so I can pay the bills and stay out of his hair? Then so be it. Thanks to all that support the magazine. Garage will Allways support the HAMB and its members..

I could do without the trailerpark honeys. When I buy a car/bike mag I want to see bikes and cars.... if I wanted to see butt ugly chicks with shitty tattoos and fugly makeup I'd just hit up the ghetto of downtown at 2 a.m.

  14. YES, i agree with that completely! Oh, wait a minute. The new (#15) issue. Inside, rear cover? Take a closer look boss. My God, that girl's ROCKIN! When i buy a car/bike magazine, i wanna see cars/bikes.........................AND HER!!!!!!!

I allocate a certain amount of $$$ for car mags every month... and a majority of it is taken up when I buy my new issue of Rodders Journal. Therefore, I will not be buying "garage" anytime soon. :D

Same reasons I won't buy OSR though.... I don't like the cars, I don't like the articles, and I don't like the ugly girls.

I'd rather spend $13.00 for a RJ that is like a history lesson on high quality paper that covers CARS that I like.

  16. I agree completey. But, did you see the chick on the inside cover of #15? (couldn't resist). I'm not defending Garage, just her

I have never seen the mag so I can't speak about that. I have been a biker/car nut for a long time. All I can say is that Jesse did what I (and most folks here) would do if I had his fabrication skills and was offered the chance to accomplish what he has. He has made it big, has a gorgeous wife, builds killer bikes and cars and doesn't take too much gruff from anyone for it. I do not know Jesse personally but, I have an idea he was pretty much the same guy before as far as attitude goes. The only difference is now he can have what he wants when he wants it......within reason LOL. I will look for the Garage mag and check it out. I have seen Delux Kulture thing what ever the hell it is and don't care too much for it.

Why would I buy one? I looked through two issues at the store and decided it's not for me.

One has a lot of ugly chicks.

The other had some guys working on a pre-unit with a nazi swaztika flag hanging in the shop in plain view.

    Nazi paraphanelia and ugly girls.

No thanks, I'd rather read about cars in a different mag.

Sure, it may be a great info magazine, but so are the others. And I don't have to skip over girls that make me vomit with the others.

That was a very honest reply. I have every Garage except #1 , I still think it's a very cool mag. Different than any out there. Of course it's changing, things change, no matter if you want them to or not, it's gonna happen. Garage now has the money behind it to allow Stoner and crew to continue doing what they do best. That's a good thing!

  23. Pretty good mag, compared to OSR and CKD. Never gonna please everybody. No different on here. If you don't believe me,check out some of the threads where guys have asked for opinions of their new ride. HOLY SHIT! I buy it cause "I" like it...not cause any of you guys like it. Same reason I DON'T but Hotrod or Car Craft. Don't like them. As for Jesse...leave him alone. He's living his dream, just like we all would if given the opertunity.

Now Jesse...How about doin that Anti-Love Ride again?

Bob...No Love Party. It would be kool if Jesse starts one up again. It was kool of him to throw all 10 of them that he did. Your right Bob, I know I would be living the dream too if I was in his shoes. KNUX!

    Good Lord! he he he
I gotta say, I rolled my eyes when I saw the mini-mag insert. When I took ten seconds to flip through it though I liked it. I was impressed by the craftsmenship of that lazer-cut and bent sheet stock frame too. And the story about the designer and his painting was great too. I haven't seen Mr. James turning garage a project in vanity either. He could sell 600,000 copies of a magazine aimed at the dudes who buy his WCC branded t-shirts at wallyworld with his photo on the cover if that was his goal.
Why do some people spend so much time bagging on other dudes who stumbled into an opportunity like he has (there was an earlier thread that bagged on Jimmy Shine too). Quit being jealous, get inspired, get off your ass and build something that will inspire somebody else.

converseandbowlingshirts......that is just plain human nature. Always has been that way, always will be that way. KNUX!......ex: how about them baseball players that get these big-ass $$$$ contracts and most of them are spitting sun flower seeds or scratching their balls in the dugout. All I can say is all the power to them, your only in the game for so long....get what ya can out of it while your in it!!!!

Sorry, I COMPLETELY dig your magazine, but I don't owe shit to Jason Jessee OR Erykah ('cept for a little stress relief maybe). But I kind of see your point. Keep in mind, however, that there are ALL KINDS of "little people" out there that have sacrificed a normal life to live one fully consumed with cars and bikes.
Wanna do a story on my Uncle Mark? Didn't think so.

One more thing I would like to say. Jesse has created job openings for others, helped out the homeless, opened up a burger joint, that created more jobs. He has done his part to try and revamp that part of Long Beach which is not the nicest part of town mind you and I don't see anyone giving him the thumbs up of what he has done for the community. Ya got to remember, he didn't have to do any of the things that I have mentioned, but did. KNUX!

  30. Garage rules...Jessee for Mayor!! Jason, that is...
