I have a chopped 54 merc sun valley, its chopped 5inches and right now it has a lexan windshield, I don't mind it being lexan too much, but since I'm trying to drive it daily I want to put wipers on it and the wipers will scratch the **** out of the lexan. so anyone know where i can get a windshield cut and installed in Jersey if I buy a windshield?

Barkoff used to own a gl*** shop, Mike. He helped me put the windshield in my Olds...though I actually did the cutting, he polished up the edges, and got it to fit right. I did the first one for his Riv, but after it cracked in storage, he did the next one himself. Don't know if he'd do one for someone else any more. I usually can cut one, if you can't find anyone else...you know how busy I am!
bob had a guy in conn. cut the one for his grand pix he doesn,t want to cut anymore i,ll see him tonight and ask who cut it and get the info for you

I doubt he would do it, he cut the gl*** for the 60 Pontiac, and it ended up cracking. He went to a guy in Connecticut to get one cut and thats installed/worked out well. I think Bobs was the 900th someodd windshield he has cut (the guy in Connecticut) and is hoping to hit 1000 so he can put that in his ad. Im pretty sure this is them. There's a guy up here in Rochester that will cut them. he did the one for my 53 chevy a couple years ago. 5" cut, never broke it and installed it without breaking it too. He told me he's done a LOT of them with great results.....but as with everyone he make's sure the owner know's they can break. I know it's a way's away but if you want the info i'll dig it up for you. Tony
