182 mph in a 'Vette

    A friend of mine recently got back from Speed Week at Bonneville. He ran 182.182 mph in a '68 Corvette. He is also a contributing Photographer to my suede37.com and graybeardracing.com websites. You can see his photos at:

  2. That is a bad *** VETTE! I like the fact that he kept the black plates on it... and then refrained from putting any kind of lettering or graphics... stickers all over it.

    Plain and simple... looks like a street car!

    It actually belongs to a friend of his. It has a stock 427. All he did was add a set of roller rockers, a better carb, and installed a Tremec 5-speed.

    Next year it will have a different engine. One that has already gone over 230 in a roadster. The Vette is more streamlined than the roadster so who knows how fast they'll get it to run.
