Quit workin on cars 3 times, sold off everything including the tools , never once made it more n 5 years out of it , last time I kept the tools, sold the cars and went hoggin, women come n go and are easily replaced, tho it may not feel like it at the time, you forget, but if its a life thing, then ya gotta do what ya gotta do , -Advice, keep the ragtop ,just store it , you won't regret it , sober up , find a stand up gal and move on , just once n a while peep in on the Galaxie rag , and tell ur self one day I'm gonna .....remember thats how those old rods survived , life got in the way and they just could'nt sell em .
I did without for a number of years while trying to save money for a house.. I agree, quit smoking, slow down the drinking and stop chasing ass if you found one worth keeping... The cars are paid for I assume and unless you are needing to generate money, should not cost you much if one of them is good running and reliable. If one is decent, sell the other and just drive the good one,, do not spend money on it and get on with what you need to accomplish.
If you are selling out then you were most likely never really into it anyway. Do what interests you weather its cars or something else, there's no reason to sink time and money into stuff that you arent truly interested in.
Been there too! Gave up the old car hobby to by a house & raise a family. The issue was time as well as money. Now I'm back, you will be too.
