well, the 4th annual car show went great, it was even bigger than last year's show, hope next year pulls in some more! here's keith's (leadsledmerc) taildragger that just hit the road last month
last ones... i took some art pics of keith's '37. first one is just a setting on my camera, the second was computer edited... and heres the way some of us ended the night. we all gathered around the pile of pallets to watch them burn like hell! we were getting tans from approximately 150-200 feet away!
Looks like a good turn out. Perfect day for a cruise. Thanks for posting all those pics, I know that takes some time. I'm soo glad I got rid of dial-up!
Wow, folks in Ma. take their county fair cruise in seriously. That is quite a collection of kool rides, both hotrods, customs, and stockers.
Holy Hula Hoop, What a nice event, the beautiful restored churches are some great ones. The car variety is awesome and most never seen on the forum before. Kieths t.d. is 10+, super dash, deluxe chebby steering wheel, it all just rocks. The turq. vicky shoebox, blue olds h.t., I better quit I would have to list almost all as my favorites. Thanx for taking your time to share these cool sleds posing on the gr*** carpet! SWEET!!-Sololobo/Roadburners of Omaha
well it wasn't the best day, we had some strong wind gusts, other than everything blowing around, it was a pretty good day
Great pictures, now i'm really pissed that nobody reminded me about it,Whos 36 roadster, never saw that car before, and dark blue model A coupe with the flathead, very nice,my favorite car in all those pictures, lol,I am bias.
Come on now...it was a perfect day! Great cars, great people, so what if there was a little wind. haha Thanks for posting the pictures. I was so busy with the event and keeping you spectators out of trouble, I didn't get 1 pic all day. BTW, your p/u is coming along nice. A big thanks to everyone that was able to come and make it another great year. LSM
You missed a great day John. The fair was going on right across the street so there was all that good greasy food for you to eat also! The '36 is Bob's from here in Rochester, he picked it up last year. You may have seen his black '34 coupe around, or the blue '47 Merc ragtop before he sold it last year. Yea, Woody was hanging around all day flapping his gums, it's always great to see him and that car. I wonder who built it???? haha
I got drafted on to my brother's tank crew so I was there for the parade on Sunday. If you were sitting out on the back roads of the parade you might have had a chance to see two tanks drag racing - crazy sh*t. The one in the top of the picture has dual Cadillac flatheads with 4 straight piples coming out the top.
your car had a crowd around it every time i looked over at it! thanks about the pickup, after i got home i pulled the water pump and everything else in the way of removing the timing cover to replace the gear drive with a timing chain, so now it doesnt sound like its got a blower, and now were in the middle of replacing the rear axle bearing and seals so it will make the trip to amherst this sunday. isnt the nostalgia drags the same day? next year i'll have either the '55 or hopefully a '31 A modified at the show
Great pics! Who's car had the Drag-Lynx plaque? I met some guys from the Ty-Rods (I think that was their club) in Dover NH this weekend. Some real knowleggable guys. Also picked up a great book about New England rods. Just getting into it, but I always wondered why nobody really talks about East-coast cars with the same reverence as West-coast cars. Anyway, great cars in it anyway.
A friend at work was right behind them yesterday. He told me about it this morning, crazy sh*t is right! You've just gotta love hot rods...even if they have tracks under them and canons on top!
