Some of you know i just bought the coupe recently, and am now in the process of "making it mine". I got the hood back today, and after installing it , took a ride back in the canyon to this little country store for a cold one.
*****in' If I may ask, what's the going price per louver ? Bet it looks good from the driver's seat too.
Sir Michaels in Westminister{So Cal} did it , it was 350 for the job, dont know what that comes out to per slice though.

Louvers look great and I have to tell you, I don't think a Model A could look any better than that one. The stance and overall style is perfect. Congrats. Mootz
yea well when i find someone to match the paint i will Phil......... thanks to all for the positive comments, i love this new ride and have many changes and plans for it in the near future. Rams horn manifolds,3-2's,some fine tuning on the suspension, and a smidge of pinstriping are all up soon
I'm pretty sure that's Ford Washington Blue. I know where to get it matched perfectly. I'll talk to you Saturday. Oh, and yeah, I dig the louvers. I really like the direction you're taking that car.
Hey, I hate louvers!!! No really, as a painter I mean I hate 'um! Have ya ever sanded a hood panel filled with louvers, It's like pettin' a shark?!! Those are some serious cool, cruz my man! And yes ,that looks like Washington Blue. Be careful, Ford used more than one shade called Washington Blue. Take a gas filler door or a panel that can be removed that's painted , into the automotive paint store to get a dead nuts match. S****ey Devils C.C.
One of the things about being an old fart is remembering the cost of things "back in the day" (late 50's). They did louvers for 0.25/per around here back then. Of course gas was $0.24/gal then to. Frank
Take the car to Finishmasters in Bellflower. They will buff the wax off a small part of the car and shoot it with a thing (lazer, I think) that will give them the exact color. They will give you the formula and mix a batch right on the spot. I've done this with a couple of cars. Pretty cool deal.
looks like you have 90 louvers so at $350.00 that is $3.89 a louver. A little more than a gallon of gas now.
