It's Mon.10:27 P.M........Do you know where your Hot Rod engine is? Here is part of mine, the crank and 1 head are at the machine shop, ready to be gathered up in the morning. Still have a pin hole in a water jacket that at the present time looks to be relatively irrepairable. (I'll think of something)LOL To make matters worse,it's self inflicted. However I still intend to be there with bells on. Anyone else working through a little 13th hour drama?
Hahah, my buddy Eric, (lurker) just picked up a core th400 tonight at 11:15 to replace his broken case on his Gene Swartz clone g***er....So he has to rebuild it and put it in before we hit the road on Wed....So your not alone, and you can get it done. Don
Ha Ha,I'd rather be doin' the trans for sure.. Hey Dirty, that's correct,no coupe this year, just that ugly little white car.LOL See ya there.

Pinhole in the water jacket? My hemi block has several impressive cracks on the right side. The machinest I had used didn't notice the cracks till he was done. :-/ They looked like they had been silver soldered and he said they wouldn't leak but he was wrong. I did some welding on them so they don't open up and then a healthy layer of JB weld. After a couple of years is twa weaping some so a couple of nights ago I cleaned off the loose JB and put some more on. Jury rigged... yes but it's held so far.
hell im way behind... got my car bagged and 4 linked but now i have to step notch the rear because it sits like a 70s chevelle still... get exhaust on and get gl*** cut and installed and put in my gas tank and hope to hell the brakes still work... oh and wire headlights and tail lights... and time permits ill put in a radio too....
I'll be sure to have lots of beer and a swig or 2 for you 13th hour guys.LOL At the present time I'm takin' a break to feed the family but have the head and the crank back and the block is cleaned up and the new cam bearings installed and the cam and is ready for main bearings and the crank. Come on with your bad selves and lets have some fun this weekend. I'm lookin' forward to dueling with Daves Deuce and Becks Coupe and metting the Speed Racer 2002. More updates later. T.OUT
I'm feeling like I may have to show up in the late model, to many small things left to do on my '57 for the 1,100 mile trip (each way). I was going to have tomorrow off to work on it, but **** happens. Oh well, I can carry more beer this way.
