I have 4" dropped axle for my '51 Ford truck and my question is about what to do with the steering arm and the tie rod ends (different tie rod ends or spacers?). I'm in the dark on this so any help would be appreciated. Is there an economical way to do this or is time to spend some money? Also, how many leafs can you safely remove from the front? Thanks!

You can heat and bend steering arms and/or dropped tie rod ends..OLDBEET

You can bie tie rod drops. I think speedway motors sells them.
Lots of people run four leafes in front. Original should have been eight.
    IM talking about 48-52 F1's

I had a 52 f-1 with a 3" dropped axle. They make extended tie rod ends(either mid fifties parts or cenpen have them.) My only other problem was the steering arm hitting the shock. You can heat the shock mount or space the shock mount out. Either would work. But I wouldn't heat the steering arm because you could weaken it.
