Anyone use the speedway motors small block ford motors mounts. Part # 1353764. Any installation pictures or reference information would be helpful. A ford 302 will be installed in a 1953 customline.

  4. Speedway sells a lot of good quality products, but some of their engine mounts leave a lot to be desired. We just ordered a pair of their mid-mount SBC mounts for my Dad's '55, and they left a lot to be desired. The trans. mount was top notch. It came powder coated and the whole 9 yards. The engine mounts didn't fit right, etc. etc. etc. I think it all depends on who they get them from. Just my $.02

A friend has them in his '53 Customline. Couldn't get them set up on the frame far enough back to use a standard fan. Kind of a hokey set up, what with using the accessory holes for mount holes and all. I've heard that Mustang mounts will work, but have no actual experience with them. Can't remember what's holding up the 302 in my '52 Customline...

Edit: I'm speaking of the Speedway kit.
