There went another of the real true legends. Bless his memory and all he has contributed to this hobby. Paul
OH NO...not another. Truly a sad day indeed as i had always revered Barney for his mechanical p***ude and his contribution to our hobby. Barney was THE MAN - the man was a genius with engines, esp our beloved Flatheads and we have lost a TRUE LEGEND. I knew he was'nt well for some time and was expecting the worst. My thoughts & prayers to his family and friends, and to hot rodders the world over. Rest In Peace Barney.... Rat
I will always treasure my autographed photo from Barney....a legend! Godspeed, Mr. Navarro.... Brucie
Here a shot of Scott Perrot Totally Restored '27 T roadster of Barney Navarro's ..Powered by a supercharged 176 cubic-inch Flathead Ford, the roadster reached a speed of 146.8 mph at El Mirage Dry Lake in the early 1950s. God Speed ...R.I.P
Another good guy gone, but with an ***ured place in history n a place in the hearts of hot rodders,RIP.........All best wishes to his family at this time.
I`m sad to hear this news. I`m running a Navarro 3-pot intake on my roadster. He has left us a memorable legacy wit his talent and knowledge.Time-Bomb John
This is horrible news. He was probably one of the most influential hot rodders of the forties. Definitely someone I wanted to meet before he p***ed. Truly a sad day. RIP.
People don't always know or remember where innovations come from. Barney Navarro was an innovator of the first order and will be missed in this hobby. Prayers to his family and godspeed from me also.
