Maybe I can make you change your mind.Yes,the Merc has its history but you have the chance now to make it all right.
I also thought about that before,so here's another quickie.I wasn't sure if you have side trim on the Merc or not,so with sidetrim it looks better with the taillight in stock position as the trim directly points into the taillight, imhn the other side, the low taillight looks cool too ! Lowers the rear visually, kinda "connects" the lights with the trunk lid. It's a matter of minutes to get rid of a pair, you now decide which pair !
That last pic is the money. My 50 I used the bottom bolt holes of the factory location as the new top holes. Loved it. Mine used housings, but ya get the gist.
How'd I miss this? Looking good! Now that it's running...any chance it'll make an appearance at Turkey Run, or maybe just at Abacoa? I'd love to drool on it.
its time for my trex down to FL going to be by anthony's to get the merc closer to being ready for paint. look for some updates soon.
Hey I did something to the car.I stripped the nose and made a patch. Here it is....all by my dumb self!
Believe it or not I have 50 hours in this bucket of **** in the past two weeks.I figured Id use this thred to expose the lack of motivation on my part and force myself to keep sanding. The only ****in thing Im good at is striping.
just bustin' your balls, the car is gonna look great. From the amount of attention you put into striping i can only imagine how picky you are on your DREAM car
Gotta hand it to Russ and John at Summit Rod and Custom for this round of bodywork. I wanted it to look like this for a long time.
Thanks Jeff. The body was really all over the place before Russ got everything lined up nice. In my best shape, the body would have taken me 3 times longer and wouldnt have been half as good as they got it.
