florida trip in oct

so anyone know anyhting interesting on hot rod related between the 7th and the 21st of oct? me and the misses are on vacation in the orlando area (naturally) lol and i need to see some rods while im there?

 

Down town New Smyrna Beach on 2nd Saturday (13th )
Harley Davidson , Rossmeyer's I95 & RT 1 in Ormond Beach on the 3rd Saturday (20th) .Both are good car shows.

 

Ya gotta go to Don Garlits place, just a short drive of Mickey Mouse Trap World...........

On October 12th, 13rd, & 14th the Streetrod Nats are in Tampa at the fairgrounds.

Every Saturday night in Old Town (Kissimmee), car show from mid afternoon until ........ whenever. Hundereds of rods and customs. Used to have muscle cars and such on Fridays. Plenty of shops and food. Neat stuff.

Right down the road from Disney World (about 2 miles)

 

Check with nads, he might help with info, plus he`s in orlando, or check mike kelley`s cruise news, it has every show in the state.

 

Listen to Glenn, find a way to go to Don Garlits Museum of Drag Racing. If you don't go it will be a tragedy. If you do nothing else do this. If you make it to Garlits, after that you can check out Fantasy of Flight. It's about 30 min. west of Orlando on I-4.

 

Dinner at Race Rock is always good,The first saturday of every month at Orlando speed world is the quick 32's, 32 fastest cars in florida.Across the street from Daytona Speedway,behind the 7/11 there's a mini-drag strip where you get to drive a full size rail.

 

There are some decent city sponsored car shows in Dade City and Plant City. The Dade City show is the first Saturday of the month and Plant City is the third Saturday.

 

The Race Rock has closed down

 

i used to go to the rod run in kissemee all the time when i lived in florida its a reall nice place and youve got a ton of shops in old town i would check it out if you get the time

 

Garlits museum is a MUST when in Florida.try to dedicate at least 3-4 hours.we stayed 8 hours once....

 

RaceRock Is No More They closed down.And to my understanding everything was Sold off.???? BUT they are no more.(orlando)
