34 5w body from scraps...(more junk I don't need)

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by Kiwi Kev, Aug 22, 2007.

  1. One day down but there is a LONG way to go before this body is useable. One day it will need to be media blasted and get a little bodyman in a can. this body in not a candidate for metal finishing.

What a *****in chop, what a save. But just think, you would have been the only kid on the block with a vertically sectioned 34!

Nice body you got there. I guess the car's new lot in life is land speed racing? That is the only place a chop that extreme would look right to me. I am out of touch obviously though because everybody else seems to love it. Mucho respect for your metal skills regardless.

  8. Hey Kev, I'm ***uming the other 34 is done, you were bored and had to get another one.
So, what's the deal, Primer Nats, are you in or out.

Thats insane for one days work! Looks like it could be a killer car Kevin! I can pitch in 2 ford rims with good tread bias tires for the cause.

looks good there kevin. hey whats the cowl off of? and do you happen to have a pic from the rear?

  14. Dreadman....No Primer Nat's for me:(  , Outa town all weekend. No real progress on my other coupe. I'm so easily distracted but I've picked up a few patch panels etc and I'm highly motivated to get that body cleaned up!

RatBone...... Thank's for the wheel offer but I won't be working on this one much more for a while. I need to get focused! I need to find a sponsor, someone to pay all my bills so I can work on my **** and make some real progress!

Sawracer.....I understand where you're coming from ' It's just that i sometimes get bored with practical cars. Although I do plan to have a very practical 34 PU daily driver in the future. I have all the parts and just need to find the time to put it together.

  16. JohnnyG.....Cowl is 34 Ford. Some of the firewall is cut off. It was in better shape than the blue one but had no posts so I cut the posts and top from the blue one and put it on this one. I can still add the stock firewall later if I want.

Very nice Kevin! I can't help it, but when I look at the front piece, I think of those chocolate bunnies around Easter time. How's the RPU, I know you were making changes on it too?

  25. 53chevy.......I gave the rpu a makeover a few months back. Finished the top of the nose and built a hood. I look forward to the day when I get to build a louvered hood and decklid for this coupe body.......

I really admire the determination and skills that some guys have. If you can dream it them put your talents to make it the real thing. All can say is it's sweet.

Did you get the tire set-up settled? I think you where in limbo or something. By the way, nice front-end shot of the RPU. Any full shots?

Also, put me on the list if and when you decide to sell this coupe?
