Nice find. At first, when I looked at the prices, they seemed a little steep (versus buying a vintage adapter at a swap or on ebay), but after seeing how complete the kits are (for the 394 Olds it included the flywheel, crank spacers, crank stub shaft, the 2 adapter plates, the bearing and support, a set of bolts/fasteners), this seems like a decent price for a really complete kit.

That same link was posted only a few days ago. Thats what happens to tech threads, they go off the screen too fast.

Ill say it again...this site needs a friggin links page to all the good stuff that keeps getting lost.

Always bugs me that the adapters cost more than the ******s you're adapting. Used turbo 350 $100, Flatty Adapter $600. T-5 S10 ******, $150, Cornhuskers flatty adapter $450+. Still, what else is there...

Great find! I'm almost afraid to find out one will cost me in Canadian peso's.
This was posted the other day? I agree, the good stuff slips away too quickly.
By the way I was thinking of getting a tattoo of a muffler tip.........[IMG]

Bottom of page 2 already. Found the price for an early rocket on their website, one of the most expensive at $795 U.S.
    Lets see 795 x 1.55 exchange, shipping, taxes .......... WOW $1525.43 Canadian!

for anyone wanting the 57-63 Nailhead to late GM ****** adapter, hang on a few more days. I was with Doc Frohmader Tuesday when we picked up 30 of his new adapter sets from Nickel Machine and Tool. They looked excellent! They also will include the flywheel, use the original starter or the Telesco Gear Drive starters, and will sell for quite a bit less than those. Doc, for those who dont know the name, is a veteran engine builder and magazine writer. He does the vintage engine builds for SRM (FE Ford, Rocket, Nailhead, Cadillac, etc.), and many articles for most of the other car-related magazines. The guy knows his ****.

I talked with this guy last July at Goodguys in Des Moines, IA. and posted it shortly after that. Hopefully his page will make it into the tech section far away from intros and the other misc. stuff. He's working at having adapter kits available to cover all the old engine setups, and if you have something odd just call him and he'll work with you on setting something up.

    down the blvd...............kroozn

I was in the same boat as everyone else. I could not find any one in my tri-state area that would rebuild my Olds JetAway trans.I could not find an older one eather, those are the better ones.I got a hold of Bob and talked to him. He was very helpful and knows his **** when it comes to ******s,tought me alot. So I go and order one. The quality is great, complete and professional. To me it was worth every penny.Im running a GM TH200/4R ******.Sure beats that old 56 Olds GetAway.

For late turbo-hydro trans adapts to rocket Olds motors, call Tanson's at 1-800-FAST-88S.

Dave Smith in Exeter, CA also does those.

I talked to him about the HEMI adapter for the early extended bell 331`... he said there was a "flaw" and wasnt selling the kit. Hes either getting some backlash from flaws or is out of stock...

I know this guy. His name is Bob, he puts alot of thought into those adapters. They look really good. He has the machining done right there in his own ****** shop.
