    Best chick car? Boo.
It would be an insult to win that one...and what if a girl's car won one of the other awards too? Could it be re-awarded to a dude too?"
    Raspberrrys.
I hope that chicks win, and win big, if they have cars that deserve it...but it's kind of a "best of the not quite up to grade" if you ask me.

Couple of problems with the "chicks car" only award....

how do you know which ones are girl built/driven?
how narrowly do you define "girl built'? what if she just bought it and drove it to the show?

and please, any women out there, dont take this wrong...
the welder or plasma cutter dont care if you have ***s or not. Is is COOL that a girl builds her own car? YES. Is it any different than if a guy builds his own car? Not in my mind.

They didnt give my wife any special awards when she set land speed records on her 1942 WLA (that she re-built herself), nor would she have wanted any.

well said...my wife is only 4'9", so she is a great help when working under the dash, in the trunk, or any place else where space is a premium. Not that she doesn't do anything else she can, but some of the stuff she can do easily would be a real pita by myself.
And she makes a killer iced tea.

here is the small seat being made by Cover-Ups of Arnold, CA. for the Best Interior award. It will be fully done up on a nice plaque and striped at the show. Great work from some good folks.

(photo is on the work in progress, not finished trophy)

Alright Boys and Girls! Here is the Big Flake award. Thought we would try something alittle different. A friend of mine had this skull in his front yard for a few years. We painted, flaked, cleared, striped it, then had my friend Rod Powell do the lettering. Hope you like it!
