I like garage because it's not the " same ol' stuff " as alot of other mags. It also focuses on some builders out there that I've never even heard of, but are doin great things. Anyway it's a magazine... read it and be entertained. Thats why they make em.

I have a great respect for Ryan, Stoner and Jesse for being creative individuals who did something with their passion... As for Garage Magazine.. I'm a fan!

No I don't agree with all of the content (ex: I actually expected more pics and stuff from Buggs interview), I think it would be scary if I did though.. I don't think there is a magazine in which I agree with all the content, well maybe Deadend.. mine.. hehehe. But like Doninie (lownslow) once told me, if you don't like the whole magazine just skip to the stuff you do like...

Someone said Garage takes suggestions...

It would be great if you did stories on:
Rod Powell
Donnie Baird - Imperial
Coby Gewertz - Church
Mario's Autowerks - Elite
Andy Southard
T.J. Pagano - just don't out-do us.. haha
Lifestyle Car Club
Paul Cepeda
Teen Angel - the lowrider answer to David Mann - In my opinion
John Farr
John "Waldo" Gladspie - Don't think I spelled that right
Whittier Blvd/Elysian Park
Salinas Drags - of course haha
and last but not least the leader of the hamb world - Ryan

That's it for now.. I'm, sure I can come up with thousands of people that deserve a good write-up... hahaha..

Charlize Theron. Someone classy, not slutty, and not covered with stupid "kulture" clothing and bad tattoos.

Don't even start this argument though... at least this thread is somewhat about cars so far.

How do you know that Charizle Theron isn't slutty and that some girl with full sleeves isn't virtuous. Judging a book by looking at the cover are we?

And yeah, I'm no fan of sleeves on girls but I don't automatically proclaim them as sluts.

I recently bought a copy. Thankfully somebody else needed the pull-out booklet more than I and it was missing. I liked the variety of the subjects covered. I can even say Full Custom Living without chuckling. Two things crossed my mind though... one, it's good to see that other magazines could use a little more proofreading (This is only evident to a small portion of people who read instead of just looking at pictures...) and two, you guys spent a whole lot of space talking about the cover shot, how fun it was, and spreading water for a burn out and stuff, and then when I went back and looked at the image, it's all Photoshop magic and jackstands.... I would like to see Full Action Burnout shots in the future... other than that, I think it rocks...

Hey Brandon! Didn't about A MILLION people tell you already you are NOT allowed to comment on other people's magazines, vehicles and personal hygiene when you are "in the industry"??? I know I got the message EVERY time I had an opinion outside the "love it" category.
Weren't magazines SOOOOO Much more enjoyable before you had to work on making one? That's a genie that will never go back in the bottle.

I wouldn't exactly classify a woman who struts around bare assed naked in nearly every movie she's been in as "classy".

I thought the cover girl on this months Garage was smokin' hot...and the Rant was spot on

Still dig the rag, not sure how this thread got so off topic. Order to disorder.

Oh yeah my lips don't look good on anyone's ass. I try to stay away from threads dealing with celebs just for that reason (even if they do cool work).

Hey Jesse, how about sending me a copy of your fucking magazine? I've looked everywhere in South Texas, I mean Northern Mexico, and I can't find it anywhere. Barnes and Nobles, Walmart all that shit...nowhere to be found. I know you may have to pay special dudy to get them here but us vatos would like to read it too. How 'bout it?

It's called preference, and physically, I don't find slutty *looking* chicks with bad tattoos attractive.

You can call it "judging a book by it's cover" all you want, because on this topic (my preference and what I consider attractive) your opinion doesn't matter. Girls with lots of tattoos, lots of piercings, and clothing that clearly shows they are trying to fit into some stupid assed "kulture" don't appeal to me. I find it shallow and trendy.

I'd rather look at girls who are good looking without having to try so hard.

Honestly, it has more to do with how retarded the whole culture is in these kinds of mags though. It's just a magazine to support this BUSINESS that IS "car kulture". It's stupid.

I just don't see why someone feels the need to have the "look", the "attitude" and the right things to say to buy into this crap, and I refuse to spend money supporting it.

That's also why I like Rodders Journal though. It's not about some stupid culture that 90% of the people into cars are buying into... it's just about cars... plain and simple.

What is up with that insert? Open it up and it has a killer Triumph drag bike which has nothing to do with WCC.

The coolest thing I have seen in a ad of theres and they didnt build it.

I was worried about the direction the mag took under new ownership 'cause that first issue (10)was almost all motorcycles. However the next ones (11&12) I could barley put down and read cover to cover. pretty good for a mag that I buy just to look at the pics.
It seems now whenever I get one that there is some sort of useful info that makes it worth the cover price. (the roth metal flake gun info in # 13 was worth the cost of the mag.)
The thing that is frustrating me is that I have had to ebay the last 3 issues just to get them , thats about $11 each,it sucks that I can't find it on a news stand. I don't like to subscribe because the mail man runs them through a shredder just before he puts them in the mail box.

El Monte is not the same anymore. Lots of new development homes and lots of asians moving in. Speaking of homes... The homies are all still there, and the Lowriders (not my thing) are still looking good while cruising to the American Legion Hall once a month on Sunday mornings. When did you leave El Monte SamF? I'm still trying to get out.
