My friend is trying to pick a color for his truck.. He's thinking of brown or something similar on his '56 F-100. Anyone have any pics of similar colors..
Candy Rootbeer and Metallic Gold, or Copper 2 tone. Like this http://barris.com/gallery_cars/Kustoms_HotRods/gallery_fmonteleoneford.html Or 67 Buick Riviera Metallic Cordovan brown like this
Here's a few I had stored. I think the fastback is probably just red oxide primer, but the lighting wherever that shot was taken makes the coloring look so damn cool that I had to include that too.
I was just thinking about this the other day, trying to figure out a more modern color that would look a bit 30s. I remembered a 36 dodge business coupe that was a flat brown, and then recalled a root beer metallic that dodge used in the 70s. It's most likely what I will be using if I ever find a shell. Here are a few pics.
I love the colour on that 29 roadster pickup that came out of Pinkee's. + in TRJ #29. http://www.pinkeesrodshop.com/projects/alb_1929_Ford_Pickup/
Take a trip down to a Subaru dealership and look at a Legacy or Tribeca in Deep Bronze Metallic. Very nice lookin color.
if you have acesess to old 70's street rodder ,R&c , car craft, hot rod etc magazines,,,there would be pleanty of insperation as that was a poplular color,,i was hoping that my uncle was going to go with metalflaked root beer brown on his roof of his 54,,but he didnt,.,,i dig that color...
