That is not stopping the fun though. The Thunderbolts just built a car in the parking lot under borrowed EZ ups.

We have been wondering all night just how do they do this?

Here is a pic from the trip down to Joplin. Fiddy Four met me in Minnesota and we drove through really bad rain all through Iowa, it cleared up when we got to Missouri where we met up with No Surf in KC. He took us to Albert Drakes BBQ in KC. Wow what a sandwich.

That be No Surf and Fiddy Four, he was flat towing the Willys PU.

  2. Is FiddyFour's Willy's Rocky's old one? It looks sweet!

I hope you guys didn't get the shit we just got, yuk. But we were due for some good "boomers" anyway, it's only rained like, twice, all summer.

    Wish I was there.

We made it from west texas. 600+ miles. Was hoping to make it before dark but got caught in one HELL of a thunderstorm about 100 miles south of Joplin and decided to stop at a bbq joint at pryor OK for some great food and wait it out. We got here about 9:00 and there is still quite a crowd at the Ramada parking lot. ( we are down the street at the Best Western so maybe it will be quiet enough to get some sleep!) Hey if it rains tomorrow there will still be one hell of a party.

...the rain has stopped in Tulsa and is moving out of the area. Should be a great racing day...the Ramrods are leaving in about an hour. See you all shortly...:)

I would like to thank all the Thunderbolts and everybody that helped in the assembly of the car in the rain. And the disassembly Saturday night. We couldn't have put the motor in or taken it out by ourselves. Can't wait till next year.

  23. Bob, I was standing next to Ryan when the car went together. His grin was ear to ear. I heard him throw out his bestest compliment "this is RAD".
