Two things I would like to ask the experts. I have a complete 55' olds 324 that I would like rebuilt for a hot rod project. I'm located in central Indiana and looking for someone in the area that does vintage engines. Second does anyone know the exact color and where to get the correct paint? Thanks

Yes...It is a dark green.Yellow highlighted "OLDSMOBILE ROCKET"
    on the valve covers.
I have seen an adverti*****t in Old Cars Weekly from Tower Paints
that says they will match any old car colors in aerosol cans with fast
shipping.Ask for '55 Oldsmobile Green engine enamel.
Try searching on Google for maybe: www.towerpaint.com
    That should be close enough.
    Good Luck!

Yeah that looks like the right color green on the engine.
I found an aerosol can in the garage today that was Sherwin-Williams Oldsmobile Green engine laquer # 2G 82G.
The cap looks like the color he wants to find.My can looks kind of old so the part # may not be good.

the gold covers and aluminum looms in the photo above would be for an early 303, as is the crank pulley with no damping
