Looks similar to a Crosely HotShot but the door(?) opening doesn't look right. If you have the time look thru here, you might find a match:http://www.microcarmuseum.com/
That was a brief thought for me too when I saw the color. But although I really can't make much out from the photo, sadly not. I love bug-eyes, my dad had one for a few years back in the early 60s when I was a kiddling. And yes it was baby-blue, as it seems so many of them were. I really must own one, one of these days. We sure had a lot of fun in Dad's. Technically it was the first car I ever drove, although it was just steering, sitting on his lap. He finally replaced the AH with a brand new '65 Mustang w/ 289 and a manual. That's when he really taught me how to drive, once I could reach the pedals. I was eleven when I mastered taking off in a car with a clutch. We'd go out on country roads weekly so I could drive. I didn't think he was serious. Was he serious?
REALLY looks like an amusement park ride. Crosley door cutdowns were a different shape than that. Cris
Try a mid to late 50's Triumph TR-2 or TR-3 sure looks like one from here. They had that kind of door cut-out
If you look close, I think that there a is a round object in front of the car and that is not the door opening. Right beside the round black object looks like a gas tank or propane tank painted red. The round thing is sitting on a pole. I can't get it to blow up clear enough to make it out. Might even be a bathtub 356 Porsche with whitewalls, but it looks like sprite headlights.
At frist glance yes, but the door cutout shape is wrong and the wheelbase is way too short. Rear fender shape is wrong to. I know, I have a TR2 and a TR3. My first thought was Crosley but they didn't have wire wheels and like someone else said, the door shape is wrong. There was a fiberglass body made for the Crosley called a Scorpion. Can't find a picture of one at the moment though. Kurt O.
It appears that you are right! I blew it up, and this is what came out. Note the twin steering wheels. Very cool little car, love to turn one into a gocart!
