I am about to get started on my 29 model A sedan. She's chopped 7" and channeled 4". However, I can't decide which grill to go with. I was thinking about a 37 Ford pickup grill. So I thought I would ask all you old schoolers out there for your opinion and any pics. I almost forgot, no billet on this baby. Thanks

R U going to chop the grill (28/29) due to your 7" chop and 4" channel? It would look great..... Even chop a deuce shell, make your own insert.....

Heck, why not be different and actually have the Ford oval emblem in the top front of a 28-29 shell where it belongs for a change of pace from the everyone does filled everything? You could also use a shortened 30 or 31 stainless shell for a bit of flash up front. And early Dodge or Whippet or anything but Ford might be a nice change to see too.
The 35-36, 37, 38-39 pickup grilles have been done to death, are too tall for a channeled car and don't look good shortened, so there it is.
The tractor/equipment nose this is getting boring and rarely looks good anyhow so give it a p*** too.

  12. On that car, a 50/51 Nash grille should look just fine

I agree 28-9 model a grille or Deuce grille...

I've got a 28 grill that someone filled the emblem hole with a pop cap and smeared bondo over it... looks cool, not!
