Who did I meet? My only gripe..............MOKAN

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by Tman, Aug 28, 2007.

  1. No, silly not from beer. The fact is, the drags are so big that I dont know all whom I met. Even folks that hung with ya all weekend could be strangers with all the online nicks, made up names and that fact that IT JUST DIDNT MATTER! One language was spoken and it wasnt the surrender speak of France (well Plowboy might have got into that in the Lucha Libre thing but I digress) we spoke cars! We spoke dumb shit, we got drunk and stayed sober. We had a birthday shindig for a little girl (danyelle) and cops show up to try and take birthdays away.

What is my point? We need either to tattoo our screen-names on our foreheads or just introduce ourselves as we chat in person! Funny time when the dude you just drank a six pack with says "BTW, I am 54dodgehemiballsoutredhairedbalddude" "but you can call me Chet":D

  2. And for the record in case you do not know me..........I was the idiot screaming my ass off to get folks to eat at the Vagabonds BBQ Friday eve.

I was told I can hit some decibles?

  3. I hear you. I"m no good in sociial situations. I was thinking you were the one with the straw bale house and/or garage, but I wasn't sure. I would've liked to have talked with you about that.

I didn't realize it was Danyelle's birthday that was being celebrated. Happy belated ?th Birthday, Danyelle!

    Thanks,
    Kurt

  4. Kurt Straw bale was me. house and a big hat when the sun was out...........I love straw hats!

  5. I thought you were drunk but for you to remember the bullshit screen name of"54dodgehemiballsoutredhairedbalddude" I apparently misjudged your ability to drink a twenty four pack and remember what was told to you in a crowd of two hundred yet not be able to put my face to a screen name like that------ man you ROCK!!! STEWED was my real name but the forehead tattoo does not sound bad. Hell at the time I left Joplin, I could not remember my own name, god forbid a name I gave myself four years ago after who knows how many hours of staying up without sleep, 2:00 am burnouts, and 150, to 200 beers later,, shit if it weren't for the damn map quest left on the console of the dually I probably would have went west on Sunday.....

To digress nice to meet you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Timmy McCray "Stewed"

  6. Timmy you ROCK..........I think I said something like this in the parking lot, I dont know if impact will be the same, I am told I found decibles Ted Nugent would be proud of...............but, I yelled it then and will type it now..... WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOHHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Regarding "Who the hell was that I just met?", NoSurf had a great - and simple - idea at his little open house event earlier this year. When you showed up, someone wrote your HAMB screen name/real name, etc. on a piece of wide masking tape and stuck it on your shirt.

No hassle, low cost - and very effective.

Tman, although you & I only spoke a few times in passing, I feel like I know you cause I've been reading your wacky shit online for years & as you say, we speak the same language.
Next year, I wanna slow down & try to make a better effort to meet folks cause most of the HAMbers I've ever met were worth meeting. Hope you saved some beer to take back home w/ you. Did we drink it all there? Next year, we will expand our efforts to bring you more!

  11. DW, 23 Shiners made home to the Coke machine:cool: I will dole them out for the next few weeks like K rations:D Fun to talk with you as well. I was showing your A to my pal Randy last night, he hates the blower on his and is going injected. Yours blew him away.

I am sorry to say the Lonestas all died for the cause in Joplin:eek:

as for meeting folks, this was the first year I just sat in one area and watched. The Vagabonds had our little EZ ups and home base. It WAS kinda relaxing.

Well, the food you made was GREAT, and I stopped and introduced myself to you as you were cleaning up the tent Saturday morning.
I had the "Poor Boys"-Tampa shirt on, and John, aka 'Wyle Coyotte" was with me.
    Do you remember ????? :)

  17. Glenn, it was my pleasure. I played it cool and hit the sack early both nights. The reason I was cleaning up? I wasnt hung over like the rest of the crew:D

I finally got to meet and talk to a bunch of people that I now can't remember all their names...(I'm old)

The only time I saw you Trent, was when you came up to the car when I was in the staging lane...I wanted to talk more, but there wasn't time...had to race yaknow...

This is why I wanted Ryan to open up early (10am) so we all had plenty of time to mingle. Our team couldn't make it up Friday. At least they opened at noon...
