i have a 350 with no mounting holes in the heads. i bought a speedway low mount bracket. it sits way to low hits the frame in my car. i need brackets for something up top that don't mount to the head or require headers. any tips?

57-68 exhaust manifolds (rams horns) in most cars had provision for mounting a generator or alternator. Alternators were used beginning about 1963, so they changed to holes on the end of the manifold, instead of the side.

    this is the early style:

  4. SoCal makes one as well. Mounts to the passenger side using intake manifold and water pump bolts.

i used a late model airpump bracket to mount the alt on the pass eng side it bolts to the 2 holes by the fuel pump cut some spacers to position alt with pulley used a 66? slider adjusting bracket mounted to water pump lower hose was tight but i put that plastic shielding around the hose worked fine for many yrs and a lot cheaper than mr groves stuff john

I have one of those speedway brackets like the one pictured. $10 if you want it. Scott 916-338-4327
