Finally got the color on the '60. Almond white with oxide red. Soon it will get a fire red stripe between the two colors. I'm also going to hand letter my Southern Illinois Design Works logo on the doors. Here some after pics of the rig. Anyone got any ideas for the tailgate? let me know your thoughts

Nice ride, My 60 f-100 is a Big Back Window step-side. For the tailgate, I'd paint the letters in the white used for the top part.

Man, This really shows that I need to finish my '60. My son and I were supposed to really work on it this summer when he was home from school, but it seemed that whenever we re-started it, something else took our attention (and cash.) Looks good, I am impressed- and inspired.

I would have left it like it was before but there was some surface rust issues and a little body rott that was bothering me.

Very cool truck. You don't see too many of those...

I think it would have looked sweet all creme with the orange wheels (no red oxide...)

Wow, that really makes me miss my old one! That thing definately needs to be lowered a bit though. What are you running for powertrain? I've always been partial to the 223 six.

I plan on lowering it, but don't know the route iwant to take or how low i want to go yet. The 6 and 3 were replaced by a 351w and c6 from a '78 t-bird by the previous owner. but i have a line on a roll over '60 f-100 with a fresh rebuild 292 and 3 for ignorant cheap. i'm probally going to pick that up next week Wedsnesday. We'll see how bad the body is on that one, possibly swap out the motor and trans, and part out whats left. But we'll see I'll keep all u guys in mind for some cheap left overs if ya need them. THANX for the comments

No it's not finished but she's lookin better, got a long way to go with some other things. I don't think she'll ever really be done. i can't leave well enough alone for too long. OH YEAH! I went to the local labor day car show with her Saturday and took 1st Place in the stock truck category for all years. Pretty crazy for a Truck that has only $2000.00 in her. Beat out an old yuppy with a frame off resto 52 gmc. He was bragging all day he was going to take the trophy with his truck he just bought a week before. He was pissed when my rig took it. I was shocked actually but it made me happeir to see that dude pissed.

THANK YOU kng sze i was just as shocked to win as the dude next to me with the brand new dodge monster truck. He probally pays twice as much a month for his truck as i do on my house.

Way to go on the Trophy ! I would rather see a clean home built rig then one some dude had just bought. You did real good. Keep up the good work !
