Why should it matter what someone is wearing. I mean really, as long as their having fun, right? This labeling crap is getting old. I'll make sure to sport the 80's preppy look when I go to car shows. Look for me at Primer Nats with my Sperry topsiders (blue), Izod shirt, Bermuda shorts, and a sweater (Think of haircut 100, damn can't believe I remember this band, Ha haha haha!!!!!)

I agree with you Axel, there was to much crap at last years show, there needs to be quality control. Hope to see a new location soon.
    Good luck guys.

Ha fuck, ain't that the truth. 200-500 people acting like 8 year olds and knowing each other by Monday morning.

    It was a lifetime ago.

    See this post.

Haha thats funny comin from a cat that owns "nuttin." So what are you in it for?

And before this thread closes, last year was my first year and I will be back this year. BUT, I will be at the Shifters car show rather than the VLV one, provided it is still in Vegas somewhere. We'll still do all the VLV stuff because my girl likes it, but when it comes to the cars thats where well be.

I guess that makes me a flyabilly? Haha, awesome I just added a new word to my vocabulary.

Axle - It looks like a lot of displaced hot rod and custom folks displaced between VLV and Paso. Great opportunity to set up an event for quality rods and customs, for you or someone else.

    Capitalize on it.

Can ya pick a hotel nearby the Gold Coast for the new car show so I can go to both? Ha!

  16. I must have hit home with you,if you're so affended.
I was talking more about the guys who "play" the part. NOT about real car guys who,for one reason or another, can't take their car. You should watch your mouth fucker. You never know when you are gonna bite off more than you can chew! Don't recall directing my comment toward YOU personally... Maybe next time you should test the water, before jumping in.

I agree completely- Never would have went to Viva if not for the cars as well. The car show was the cornerstone of the whole weekend!
With better quality control and cooperation from a new venue I think it will only get BETTER. Good luck, can't wait to see it next year

  18. "flyabilly",that's funny! Reminds me of the "weekend" Bikers, you always see at Sturgis. Badass-4-day,LOL!
I don't have the tattoos, cuft Levis,slick-back hair. "Not that there's anything wrong with it",HA HA! Just not my thing. You new guys seem soooooo sensitive...

Now that this thread is oficially FUCKED,

    Hey Axle!
Give us a holler when you pick out where the next show is gonna be...
What Hotel is the Marotz Car Meuseum in? (Harrahs? Can't remember...Mabey Circus Circus?-that place is freakin creepy.)
I would imagine they might be "game" for a car show.

Ya, one of those wknd bikers took out my door. Its amazing, you can spot them a mile away. Black and orange HD gear, bandanas. Anybody seen those "sleeve" tatoos you can buy on ebay? Their available in tribal or traditional. lol.

Haha, one day you did a "nickel" at "Folsom" and the next day you go shopping for mini blinds and throw pillows.

I was definately disappointed in some of the cars/scenesters this last year. I'm all for a move wherever you guys decide. Just let us know! It would be pretty badass if you could do it at the Speedway, and incorporate some sort of vintage drags as well (kinda like the columbia timing meet in Portland).
And for the record....It's only gay if your balls touch!

Thanks Axle for all your contributions to making Viva a fun show to attend!
sorry to see you leave, but i understand where your coming from. Sometimes it's just time to move on and contribute your time else where and make something else successful:)

Best wishes and thanks again for all your hardwork and dedication.
May your next adventure be just as prosperous!

yeah downtown would be a lot of fun. part of me would love to see it there. part of me would like to see it very close to the goldcoast so that people can jump from place to place that want too.

I too would have never driven across the country to Viva if there wasn't the car show. Bands are a nice bonus, but when i get bored with the same sounding crap I can always listen to my IPOD so a band doesn't really add much for me. I look forward to attending the new location of the Shifters car show in the future.
