Paul Lemat and Cindy Williams coming to Cleveland Tennessee Sept. 1-2

Just heard a couple of days ago that Paul Lemat and Cindy Williams will be at a local Carshow/Swapmeet in Cleveland, Tennessee on September 1-2 They will be signing autographs too! I would like for Paul Lemat AKA John Milner to sign my dash of my 62 Impala SS or my old 57 GMC truck if I can get him to do it. I have watched American Graffiti so many times and I have always wanted to met the actors and actresses. Anyone else going there besides me? Thanks!

Paul Lemat will gladly sign anything you want,,,but it seems he thing his signature is worth some long green,, HRP

 

How Much Grren for Paul? don't have a problem charging but within reason. After all He is NOT John Milner He is an actor that got lucky playing a part in a Iconic movie

 

I have never really considered someone's autograph being HIGH dollar before. But Paul Lemat AKA John Milner is really my hero, so I guess paying for him to maybe sign my dash or just a piece of paper would be a real treat for me. How much for an Autograph is acceptable without looking to be Rude or Cheap?? I don't have a clue on this kinda stuff.

Cindy Williams and Bo Hopkins were signing their autographs at our annual show a few years back. LeMat wasn't available to attend. WIlliams and Hopkins both were getting kind of long in the tooth and that was about 4 years ago. But Hey! So are many of us. It ain't 1973 any more. They were getting $20 each for their autographs on anything you wanted, extra bucks if it was their photo or something they were selling (like movie posters, etc.) I couldn't see paying the bucks so I skipped the autograph part. Haven't regretted it yet.

 

Yeah but there will still be lots of cool cars there.

 

I don't pay for autographs and I wouldn't drive accross the street to get Cindy Williams signature, she tried to get cars crushed in California, who needs her. Yes I saw them at Paso and we are all getting older every day. Rags

Just wondering if any one might know just how old Paul Lemat and Cindy Williams might be! I know that the movie was in the early 1970's, so I am thinking.....maybe 55 years old? I don't know really. Then again, they might be 85 and they might look really GOOD for their age! HA!

 

Paul lemat comes to Connecticut cruises every year. A ferw years back they had the car there with him.(the real one from the movie. It was really cool seeing where they mounted the cameras on the car)

I just got up and went outside and the weather is nice this morning. It might be a great day for a car show here.

 

Well my dream came true and I finally got Autogragh Pictures of both Cindy Williams and Paul LeMat today! They both were kind enough to get up away from the crowd of people in line for autographs and walk to my GMC truck and sign my dash too! I had to pay for the Autographs and it was not too expensive either. I know that alot of folks would not pay for an Autograph from anyone, but I like both of them so much! Hey, it's my money that I worked for and they are coming to my area...so why not. They are sitting in all the humid hot weather here all day and they are away from their homes too. I can understand why they would want to be paid for their time to be with me. I will also say that they were both two of the NICEST people that I have ever met! I have met famous people before and when you see them in person, they can be quite the opposite of what they appear to be on Television....RUDE! So if you might be reading this Paul AKA John or you Cindy AKA Laurie, I want to say thank you very much for an experence that I will not soon forget! Thanks Alot! I can post pictures of them too if anyone might be interested in seeing them.

 

Why not? Let's see what they look like now. Wish I knew about the show earlier. I would have been there. Were there any HAMBers' cars there?

I saw him this past summer and while like many of us he is getting long in the tooth he seemed to be a really nice guy. Being a fan I hope you got yourself a pic of him signing your truck.
