skool me on 47/48 chevy vin#

need some info on reading vin plate on 47/48 chevy

if the car was made in the last month 47 could it have been sold as a 48


just need help comparing title with the vin code plate on fire wall

 

1948 production began in August or September 1947.

 

I know this don't mean a damn thing, but in Texas, they went by the engine # through '55, and near 100% of them are gone,,,,,,,,,,,,,
