Hey all! A few of us from up here in Victoria BC Canada ( yeah, right on the west coast!) are making plans to drive to the nats next year in L'Ville Kentucky. Never having been there before we've got no idea of where to stay, what places are close to the grounds etc and where not to stay. If anyone has any suggestions on hotels we can look at to book into, or anything in general to watch for etc it'd be really appreciated. Thanks all! Larry

Try the Signature Inn. It's only 1 exit south of the fairgrounds exit and a nice place. There is also a Holiday Inn at that same exit. Whatever you do, book now as anything decent within 10 miles gets sold out quick.

  3. Larry,

Give our very own room guru, Bob K, a shout. He's probably already on it.

    Try Travelocity.com

Louisville is big enough that all the major hotel/motel
    chains will have locations there.

After driving 2500 miles,a few more to the motel isn't a problem.

if you get to close the fairgrounds you can get stuck in constant traffic jams and hard to park, there is are a bunch of hotel along "hurstburne" rd about 7 miles away, stay away from downtown , but also try hotels across the river in indiana they dont show up on search for louisville, but are close to show

Extended Stay on Dutchman is a good alternative to the big places that are adjacent (sp?) to the fairgrounds. It about 3 miles east right off the highway and close to food, etc. Very reasonable and not nearly as crowded as the others.

i stay at a hojo on phillips ln rite in front of the fair grounds.park my truck walk to the show, walk back, never move my truck. great to set out at nite to watch the parade of cars go by.in my opinion convenient as hell. there are several motels on phillips, but i can't remember their names.
