So last night Im watching "Thunder Road" echo across the entire theater. Minutes earlier I was watching a lady spit giant fireballs into the nights sky.
An hour before that Im looking at driving history with B'Scott and one of those great untouched hot rods from the past. Not in a museum but there in a dust filled gravel lot.

It's the perfect mix of mild to wild cars, people young and old plus some of the hottest bands.

I don't know how you guys do it, It attracts a great mix and when you think of the show the first year, you have to be proud of what you have grown too. The best is the crossover crowd from Goodguys, what a contrast in shows and in fun. Congrats on another great show. This is of those shows that I cant wait till next year for.

  5. man it was a little dusty this year ,the drive in had flooded weeks before the show and we never got any rain before the show to wash it away , so we rented a water spraying rig to wet the aisles to keep it at a mininum .hey what can you do?

We just got back from Greaserama in KC. We had to fly in (Thank god for travelocity cheap flights). I couldn't get time off work or we would have drove the Plymouth. Good time but it was fucking hot, dusty, and no shade to be found. All the cars showed up pristine and by the time they got parked they were covered in dirt. We were too, up to the knees. Wish we could have stayed longer. Had to leave earlier than we would have liked my wife got heat exhaustion and I just about did too. Other than all that it was a good show. HA. Actually I think the pre party the night before was better. A midget came strolling in dressed like a pimp with two full sized snow bunny girls. Here's a link to my album and a couple cars worth looking at if youre too lazy to go through the album.

    All the pics Link

This was shortened 4 feet and chopped 5 inches or so. They said you can pick up the front end and it pops wheelies with the short wheelbase

the VW bus (or what's left) is owned by Weird Stuff Antiques, Terry Sanchez is a rare prototype, never intended for mass production. His shop is so cool, you have to see it to believe the, well, weird stuff.
