You need a low rise dual quad intake with two 650's or maybe 625 Demon's, a mild cam and any set of aluminum heads ever made for the BBF.

My brother's father in law had a F150 4x4 with a 460/C6 combo with dual quads and iron CJ heads. He got 18mpg when he didn't hammer it. And when he did hammer it, he blew many cars away.

You're "A-bucket" (could that be the birth of a new term???) is friggin' cool!!

Are those the smooth aluminum dish wheels Ford made for a while with center hub covers or full on hub caps?

they're forged Lincoln rims, 15x7 5 on 5's, the center cap mounts with three screws. The backs of the wheels, you may have noticed, are painted black because the finish is nowhere near as smooth and they got pretty grungy. but, one day we'll strip the backsides and polish them up as well. :D

    from nowhere...

maybe a nice tunnel ram...with a top welded, and set up to accept three 2100 Autolites...with miniature copies of the lincoln breathers for each of them, 460 stickers and all...or should I stop drinking?

thanks- a note on the interior fabric, we just picked it up at the fabric store, bought 5 yards of it. Wish they had a more muted, simpler pattern, but that was our only choice in that color. Considering dying it darker to mute out the whites, because it is VERY busy. But the basic style is pretty cool we think.

right on- show looks awesome Chris.

Yeah Josh, barely recognizable from when you saw it. Our plans changed about ten times since we explained to you what we were going to do with it, but finally ended up just cutting. You can see how fond we were of the T-bucket, since that's pretty much what we ended up with except this one was an A and we were able to register and insure it!

I'm pretty sure we'll make Billetproof as well.

    Catch you later, Lance

That is strangely cool! I cant tell you why, but I really dig it. There's something about that interior and those hub caps and that cut down grille and...

Way to go! Get some paint on it and it'll be good to go. The biggest engine you can find, installed in the lightest body you can get. Hot rodding at it's basic element.

  24. Its pretty cool, but I have to say a waste of a good Tudor body. Couldnt you find a cowl, doors and make the rest instead?

The body that was used was pretty much shot from what I remember reading in other posts. He didn't lose much. Made lemonade from a lemon so to speak.

that's right- as you can see from the pics, the body that is left is about to fall apart itself. Total **** (well, it's holding with a lot of bracing, but any sort of sanding reduces the panels to a pile of dust). We had our hearts set on a Tudor buildup, but when it arrived, we saw we were screwed :) We certainly wouldn't have done that if the Tudor had any sort of structure left.

The radiator is a '64 Mustang unit, we had to run a pusher in front due to clearance issues, it cools perfectly around town. The thermostat fully opens at 212, and in 100 degree heat the temp stays at 209 and it'll idle all day. Now, out on the freeway it goes to 212, and if you really push it it can hit 225 if it's 100 degrees out. On the trip to Seattle it was much cooler and never topped 210 on the freeway, even at 100mph.

We drilled large holes in the bottom of the shell for flow, and made panels to channel all the air into the fins.

I agree!! Nice ride! I have a rebuilt 460 sitting in the shop, and I'll have to disagree with those that say a 460 just doesn't look right on this type of ride...IMHO-I think it looks a hell of a lot better than a 350 sticking outta' there. But, you know what they say about opinions...

WOW that looks awesome. The rims looks perfect. That 460 looks wicked in a little ride like that. How sets of rear tires have you gone through so far?:D

one set's completely gone- we knew they would be and actually have two full sets of these rims. We're using the ones off the front of the Lincoln that had alignment issues so it's no loss to burn them off, and another set for highway use!

thanks for the detailed radiator info! Sounds like I might just need to rebuild mine and get a better fan .
