Last Rufuge Bodies

Has anyone had any experience with the Model A bodies that are built by Last Refuge in Colorado

 

I know the owner's name is Norb here on the hamb.

one guy said they fucked him on a bed he traded some shit for . another guy said they had nice bodys and another guy said they werent straight at all but he couldnt remember if it was the same body. Im thinking like 6 people said the price was good even if it wasnt near straight (lots of free time ) I did post and say if they fucked the one guy id prolly not order from them then the owner piped up and said his bed is gonna be shipped before califonrnia becomes an island... Any other questions.. ? I did follow this one cause the price looked good but then again I never got an answer i could trust....

Thanks for the input. It seems the comments are all over the board. I dont want to spend the resof my life fixing things that should hade been right in the first place.

It is amazing that people think it is OK to sell stuff like that.

No pride in quality is inexcusable.

I can't believe he boxed that shit up and sent it... what a disgrace. I'd be humiliated if my handiwork was presented here and it looked like that.

 

Nob made up for the ladder bars - he sent me a set of Pete & jake ladder bars, but he did'nt replace the hair pins. If his bodies look anything like his frames and suspension parts he's screwed. It took almost a year to get my parts and they were all JUNK!

I am using one of his model A pick-up beds. Quality for the money I spent is decent. My issue was that he quoted me 2-3 weeks and I chose him over an original I would have had to re-work because he gave me that short time frame. He invoiced me with-in 2 days and I paid him the very next day and he did not deliver my bed for another 13 weeks. He held up my build for 11 weeks and had my money for 13 weeks. I called him many times during that time period and I kept getting the same answer " it will ship by the end of next week, sorry we are very busy". When I finally got the bed, I sent him an email to say that the product was good but the service was bottom of the barrel and that is not ok to miss a quotef time by that much and hold someones money for that long with no product and he gave me an attitude!!!!!

I pay in full for a pick up bed , he would ship in 6 weeks it took 32 weeks .The next bed I order from some one else ,order on Wed. it was here on Friday that same week..

hey I bought the model A pickup bed 2 years ago==shipped it within one week ==still in the overhead of the garage for the project==everything looks good on it tho-==if ya dont need it in a hurry he ships it right away??

Sounds like they need a production manager... hmmm... wonder if they are hiring?... also wonder how long it would take to get my first paycheck.

I got a PU bed in trade form him and the work looks real good on it...This was years ago when he was first starting out- before the model A bodies etc. But he did a fine job on the bed sides and put the reveal right where i asked for it...I think he's getting overwhelmed with orders and needs to hire someone...might have alot to do with the long waits...

 

OOOHHHH YEAAAA - Nob sent me a front spring for a T bucket! To bad I wasn't building a T bucket.
Yea, Nob knows his stuff. Do yourself a favor - DO NOT BUY FROM NOB !!!!!

 

I bought a bed from LAST..............the quality was fine, shipping was lonnnnnnnnnnnng time. Not 32 weeks though....12-14 weeks. The shipping to Canada was cheap.....bonus.

But i run my work on my word............. and momma always said "if you dont have some thing good to say about some one.........."

so on the delivery side "..............................................................."
quality side...........not bad, but it is only an A box

Would i deal with them again........................only if i am as slow and lazy with my project as i am with this current one.....lol


But the pics posted dont look pretty, i have to admit.

 

He does quite a bit of selling on E-Bay. Looks like his feed back is ok. Maybe that's where his priority is. Might be the best place to buy from him.

 

We had a new welder that rushed this crap out he was fired and our new tig welder is a dream. I will post some pictures of his work. You know what they say it only takes one screw up on the web. What can I do to make it up to you? sparkswillfly?

When I placed my order with you back in August,06, you still owe me to this day a set of hair pins, the correct front spring, all hardware for the ladder bars, and the 100.00 dollars that I over paid. I stil have the front spring you sent via Speedway - It's for a T-bucket. I look forward to your responce.
