Exactly why I bid the way I did. This is much like an auction set up to help a guy that had a motorcycle wreck in '94. His friends from a Usenet newsgroup started an auction to help buy a wheelchair van for his mom. It's amazing to see how high custom tee shirts go for. A buddy's wife just made a quilt, selling squares on the auction that each winner could have their name or whatever they wanted sewn into. The quilt raised over $2,500, and then the completed quilt was given to Eddie at his birthday party.

The HAMB is the only place I've ran across online that compares with the people on the rec.motorcycles.harley newsgroup. The focus is different, but the HAMB relays, drags, and get togethers across the nation are the HAMB's version of RMH's IRL's (In Real Life meets). I'm proud to be a part of both groups.
