Finally got the utility box mocked up on my new shop truck, my first thought was Cheech and Chong's "Nice Dreams. then my wife came out and said "it looks like an Ice Cream Truck" we both had a laugh. I wanted the truck under 5 foot. no engine trans, interior or boxes mount yet and it's at 5 feet I feel it'll drop 2 inches. I narrowed the nine inch 10 inches to get the boxes behind the cab. the bed is only 40 wide which is fine for hauling windshields and glass.
I'm running a 55 Cad 331 with El Dorado tri-power hooked to the 54 GMC 4 speed with granny gear. I've got a good hitch for hauling my 48 Hemi Ford to Mokan next year
Cool project! You could paint the Good Humor logo on the doors, since your wife thinks it looks like an ice cream truck! Looks good so far Nick
Steve, this is what I wanted. the Boxes are designed to stick out like the fenders, they looked like elephant ears from the front, I'm happy! this is a 7 day a week driver. 365 days a year. it's got a good heater and the snow tires are ready
Ya need a big clown head on a spring, and an enless tape that plays "lowrider" Actually I really like it. There needs to be more custom worktrucks out there.
My original plan was a set of skirts, but both sets of wheels are to nice to cover. the Olds fiesta's in the summer and snow tires mounted on 10" Mags in the winter
Not that I'd know anything about it but Thai Sticks were popular back in the Vietnam era they were some very nice buds wrapped neatly with there own stems. didn't need no stinkin' sticks man. go rent Nice Dreams I doubt they were just props haha
You probably couldn't afford them, The nicest original set I've ever seen. I bought them 1 1/2 years ago for a whopping 100 bucks and had a customer give his wall hanger fifth one free. no way to get my money back so I'll just have to use them on my work truck
