700R4 in a 51 Chevy

I'm looking for a good tec article on putting a 700r in a 51 Chevy I think I know every thing I need? and what to do or my friends know what to do . "I hope" , I know about 50chevy.com just looking for some more reading or advise. Thank one and all.

 

the 3 speed crossmember is about a foot shy of where the trans mount needs to be. I got some tubing that kind of matched the OG crossmember and kind of extended it in the same style as original.

the original crossmemeber hangs below the frame.. if you are going extra low you may want to remove the whole thing and make your own a little higher in the frame... then you got to figure out what to do with your master cylinder since it sits on the original crossmember
