I just saw this truck first hand at Pleasanton, and the Sac Bug-O-Rama. The craftsmanship, and design on this thing is awesome. Job WELL done.

Yep, watching the progress on that truck for the last year or so has been great. Walt, the man behind the build, is one of the nicest, most down to earth hot rodders you will ever meet!

The truck has one hell of a stance Don!

  10. I gotta agree. I haven't had the pleasure of meeting Don yet but if he's anything like his ol' man he's gotta be a helluva guy! The truck is a work of art. Don, are you going to come up north in the spring with Pops and the truck?

Beautiful - but i hope that seat cushion is thicker than it looks. How does a big guy like you fit into the cab? How about a pic of that?

With no engine up front, I bet those pedals are halfway to the grill shell!

The seat cushions actuall drop into deep pans in the floor, so it is really comfortable. Getting into the truck takes some contortioning, but not too bad. The truck is a pleasure to drive!!!

And I definately have to agree with Unklgriz... Walt is one hell of a man! I have known him for several years now, and I have never met a nicer guy!

Oh and Happy 40th Anniversary Walt and Laura!!!! Love you guys!!!

Wont be long until we hear that its not a rod :( Looks Sensational.

Another suburb car from Walt. If you want to see more of his great work go check out the volksrods site, but be warned, you may want to sell your SBC and build a VW :)

  19. You all need to see this truck in person to see the craftsmanship and quality of workmanship that is in this truck. Some real innovative engineering and design, with a great end result.

Super cool car. I'd love to see some build pics and some pics of the rear suspension. Very different, but in a good way

  25. Done and VERY well done! Beautiful car and I can't believe I'm saying this but you have made one of those one of a kind cars that should stand out where ever you go. Now we want a photo of you in it!

Awesome, you must be HAPPY. Walt is super cool in my book. He hooked me up with an issue of Custom Cars (UK) that featured a tech story he did on adapting discs to spindle mount wheels.

    He's definitely a true craftsmen!

  29. Until you've watched the build up of this truck, it's hard to portray the work and all the details put into it. Pops even went as far as hand-fabricating the damn mufflers. :D

    Pops and Don rule.

Thanks for all of the nice comments guys. If you would like to see some build-up pics you can find them here. http://www.walts.info/truckgallery.htm
Sorry that they are a little hard to navigate through but be patient.
    Thanks Again, Walt
