I always get a kick out of that car with the wooden body every year. I guess that guy's a carpenter not a welder. It looks like that car weighs 5,000 pounds. NitroFC, how did you get that ariel shot? Is that from Prospect Mountain?
It took 4 years and 37 pallets to build this ****er. The front bumper was stolen from a siding guys scaffolding. He is now missing two planks.The top for the car was ripped off from a KOA campground. It was a pup tent purchased at K Mart. If you would have hired a crane to lift the hood you would have been dazzled. 5 cylinder volvo motor. Bad *** ride.
It is cool to see that orange Willys on the street. The last time I saw it in person was driving in the deep gr*** at the Road Rocket Rumble in Indy and the time before that was at the Indy World of Wheels Autorama on carpet. I am ***uming it was trailered out east, but it is still cool to see it in the night shot. I was a much bigger fan of that car when it was metallic copper colored. What a ton of work it must have been to completely refinish that car in that pale orange color...
