Ok here my deal, I am building an A sedan on 32 rails. And I cant decide weather to put in an auto or a stick. My knees tell me no due to lack of room. It would be cool to shift..... So who here drives an A with a stick? How is it? Pics of the set up if you got them.
Yeah guys, let's hear what your thoughts are on this kind of a set-up. I am working on a '31 pick-up on a '32 frame. I want to shift but at 6'2" and size 12 shoes i am a little worried about space.
a sedan ....you have plenty of room ....a pete & jakes 32 pedal setup and your pretty much home.....slide the seat back to where you need it and go from there......brandon
I have a 4 spd in my '29 PU (stock height and not channeled). It's tight, but WELL worth the effort. I have so much more fun driving it than my automatic shifting '29 Coupe. FWIW, I'm 6'-1".
if your not gonna channel it you will have plenty of room in a sedan or a pickup but there is no room if u channel it unless u swing the pedals from the top
I am 6'3" I have a chopped channeled 31 sedan. I run a 39 ford top loader with ford pedals. We had to shorten the length of the pedals but I am able to drive it with no problem. I also run a 34 ford spoon pedal for the throtle. So I dont think you need to hang the pedals. I also run a stock 51 ford steering wheel, and I have plenty of room for my legs. Real hot rods have 3 pedals....haha auto are easy though. my 2 cents later Chris
