I have used it on inner fenders and under sides of hoods.Seems to hold up well in those places.I do not know exactly how much a gallon goes for but,I do know that it is expensive.

just go to your ace hardware store and pick up some XO rust. you dont even have to prep before you spray. $30 a gal plus a gallon of acetone. reduce 1:1 adn you should be able to spray 2 full cars with that.

I sell Dupont paint (hot hues) I have had it on my car for I year this weekend. Looks just like it did when I sprayed it. I have done a couple of repairs (because of damage NOT failure) and you can not see any change of color. The car it is on is a year round daily driver, salt, hail, snow, ice, sun, NO garage so it has had lots of abuse with no problems. With the reducer, activator, and color expect to spend around $125.00 for a QUART.

good question, and what do you cut it with? can you mix it with a lighter color to change the shade of it?

Kirker Hot Rod Black is about $70.00 a gallon including the activator at Autobody Toolmart.com. Easy application with good results.

I am two years into my paint job with the hotrod black from Dupont and it still looks great. No fading or color change at all. Yeah it's more expensive, but you get what you pay for.
