Picked up a new welding hood this weekend

    Man what a difference it makes! I had my old hood for atleast 10 years,it was a cheapy auto change . My new one is a miller pro-hobby,adjustable from #8 to #12,sensetivity adustment,real nice headset also. Better hood, better weld :D Just thought i'd share, Rob

I was thinking about a "welding helmet thread" recently, I don't know about other guys on here, but I am very sentimental about my welding helmets. my primary bench helmet is a standard jackson with the big fixed lens. It was given to me by the old brit fabricator that I first started working for when i was about 16 restoring vintage race cars. it's got years worth of stickers and jibberjabber painted and writen on it, every couple months I replace the outer gl***, and every couple years I replace the headband and hinges, but it's one of those things I'll have around 'til I give up welding and hopefully then I'll have somone to p*** it on to.

    Miller big window. Now I can see what Im doing and my welding has improved to lousy:cool::D

    Ive own alot of auto hoods in the last 4yrs. Im currently on my third Jackson NextGEN (not the hoods fault), and it has been by far the best hood Ive owned...
