Another great weekend in Ventura county...Harbor run pics.

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by Kiwi Kev, Sep 9, 2007.

  1. Last weekend we had the Primer Nationals. This weekend there was plenty more car activities. Friday night was Cruise night in Sant Paula where they get a hell of a turnout once a month, Saturday and Sunday there was a big Porsche show at the fairgrounds if you're into that (I'm not), Saturday night we had the USAC sprint cars come to town and put on a hell of a show (I'm into that). There was another big cruise night Saturday night in Newbury Park I think and then Sunday was the annual Harbor run car show put on by the local street rod club "Ventura Vintage Rods". Of course the weather was perfect as it usually is around here. Life is good! Here are some H.A.M.B. friendly pics from the Harbor run held at Channel Islands Harbor in Oxnard.

That is either a tall guy or a fantastically low Merc.

  4. This is Troy Martin's injected big block 29 Roadster. Troy has a shop in Ventura called full Scale Hot Rods. He does great work and has an excellent reputation.

Here is a 53 Ranch Wagon he is working on for a customer. The car sits in a late model Vette ch***is. The body is widened about 3 inches down the middle and the top is sectioned above the windows.

Another car from Troy's shop is this 55 Hudson with dual quad Packard power....

    Kev,
Thanks for the shots, what did you do before the digital camera? You must have a traincar full of pics.

I'm not a muscle car guy, but I sure have a soft spot for Hemi Dart's. That thing looks sweet.

Great stuff Kev, sorry we had to miss the Harbor Run this year. My son and I ended up Saturday at "The Tossing of the Rod" show out in Boron (the desert)................interesting, somewhat entertaining.
