Nope. Not the Beater. It seems a few guys have gotten the idea I need a different car. Reliable, sbc, auto, boring, big and gay. I want....no, NEED a hot rod. Why can't some people realize this? Customs, too me, are boring. Dont' even get me going on 'muscle cars'. If I have a car from the 60's, it's not gonna be a belly ****on Impala, Chevy II (of any kind), or any other mainstream car. Sure, I want to take my family everywhere. All of us don't fit in the Beater. That's what the daily driver '91 Caprice wagon is for. It's damn cool, gets 20+ mpg and seats 9! When the right car comes along at the right price, I'll get it. Fro now, when I wanna go fast and liver dangerously, the family will stay behind and I'll beat on the Beater 'til I'm done.
Don't listen to what those guys say you need man. It usually leads to the starting of utterly pointless threads on the internet.
i think he may be warning us of the dangers of smoking crack? he's going off on "belly****on" 60's cars and boring customs...then telling us his daily driver caprice wagon is cool. it's gotta be the crack.
Thanks for clearing things up flatheadpete! We were just all talking about it last night at the cruise... guys were saying "flatheadpete is selling his car!" To be honest, I don't even know what kind of car you have... you'd think I would after you making 3554 posts on the HAMB, but alas, I don't. But EVERYONE else knew about it! And man, they were TALKIN! I'll straighten them up and squash out any rumors they may be perpetuating. Sam.

I think Pete's mad at me for telling him he needed to get something different. His car is cool; but the thing is, it's broken much more often than it's not! I think he should at the very least put a drivetrain in his car that will allow him to drive it a little more often.
Learned my lesson. I built the 32 coupe and told everyone it wasnt for sale and I didnt want to build another. Figured out i was just gonna relax ride my harley and drive the coupe.. Then the guy offers me 42k for the god damn thing.. Everyone calls me a lier (sp) now and I dont have any more friends.. **** em.. I take blame for originally suggesting the idea of the vehicle change, I was just giving my 2 cents on things. Ultimately, we were just making some suggestions that would get you back into the hot rod mindset, and keep you from going crazy with all the little setbacks. Whatever you decide, I will be behind you 100%, along with all the rest of your friends.
Dear Petey, Once upon a time I was told (and made fun of) that Flatheads were nothing but junk and boat anchors and no one should run them in this century. Fast forward to 2007, my door is getting beat down with people wanting more, more more! Lesson learned: Screw the people, do what you want! I have heard 'it' endlessly over my Nailhead in the 48 GMC as well. Time will tell on that one too I'm sure!
