I managed to get my hands on a 49 box and I was wondering if you guys could post up some pics and measurments/ dimensions of this body style. I like the looks of of a low chop, but I don't want it looking cartoony.Pics and how much you cut and what you did would be nice to know. I also have plans to move the rear window forward to make the trunk look longer. This idea is applied to a two door sedan, let me know if you have done this and if this will work out. Dimensions on that stuff would be nice to know too.

the first one is a 51 coupe with a light chop 2.5" and about 3 in the rear, and my old black one was 5" in the front and about 5-6" in the rear i think, dont remember, with a slanted pillar.

Tex Smith has a book called "how to chop tops" .Everybody does it differant. The book would be a good place to start. Lots of work.

I'm not really looking on how to chop a top. I want to see different chops to get a good idea of how low I want to chop mine.

I have that book, and it is full of information. It's a great place to start. Just remember, measure twice and cut once.

I took a couple of pics of this car and I like the way that this chop looks and would like to know how much he cut. Is this a members car?

Here are a few of the HAMB Chop 06 car; before and after. 6" chop, flipped and raised rear window, Olds headlights, decked and shaved.

Alot of cool people helped me with this car. Huge props to them and many thanks!

These are two that i chopped at our shop here in Gardena (So Cal). On both of them i took 4 out of the front and 6 out of the rear. I like the proportions of a 4/6 chop personally.
