so i was replaceing lug studs on the front of my 55 chevy 210 wagon and ended up bending the drum. All the junkyards around me are pretty modern with thier oldest complete cars being late 60's early 70's. The question is is there anything newer i could get the drum from at a junkyard with out 50's chevys in it? I actully know a guy that probably has one but it would definatly be cheaper from the salvageyard. thank you

I'm pretty sure it's got to be '51-'58 Chevrolet.

If 51-58 really is the same, I'm parting out a '52 wagon and I could come up with a pair of fronts. Let me know.

Corvette through 1962 or through 1964 for rear only. But looking for Vette parts won't make it cheaper or easier.

Advance auto lists the same drum #s for 55 to early 70's fullsize Chevys. Try a search on Autozone or Advance Auto and see what will interchange

yup, same drums used on full size cars out back till 70.

so, you're looking for 51-58 front, 51-70 rear, for full size Chevy cars, make sure they're 11x2"

While you've got all that apart, you might consider switching to the '61-'72 front hubs and bearings. This will ditch the ****py, stock ball bearings and give you roller bearings. I did this on my '57 Sedan Delivery, it's a bolt on deal and all the parts for the conversion (hubs, bearings, races, etc) cost less than the stock ball bearings and races alone.

I have the hubs and drums to upgrade to roller bearings if you're interested.
